Belinda Tanoto
Managing Director, RGE
Belinda Tanoto is the Managing Director of RGE, a global group operating in the bio-based resources and energy sectors, with a workforce of more than 80,000 people serving over 100 markets worldwide. RGE’s operations span Indonesia, China, Brazil, Canada, Spain and Malaysia.
As a member of RGE’s Executive Management Board, Belinda provides long-term strategic direction for the group across all businesses, shaping priorities, guiding growth pathways, and steering value creation over time.
Belinda oversees RGE’s fibre, agribusiness and energy operations in China, including the group’s expansion in LNG and power to support China’s transition to cleaner and renewable energy adoption.
Beyond her corporate roles, Belinda serves on the Board of Trustees of Tanoto Foundation, an independent philanthropic organisation focused on catalysing systems change in education, healthcare, and leadership development across Indonesia, China, Singapore, and Brazil. Recognised for her work in human capital development, Belinda was featured in Forbes Asia’s 2019 Heroes of Philanthropy. She continues to advocate publicly on education, human capital development and sustainable development. In 2023, she was named the first Indonesian member of the UNICEF International Council.
Belinda received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
