Under the leadership of Mr Sukanto Tanoto, RGE has grown from humble beginnings in Medan, Indonesia to the global stage. Today, our business is strong in Southeast Asia, China, India and Brazil, where half of the world’s population resides. Driven by a global outlook, we are expanding our footprint to cover wider geography and product ranges. Our core competencies include growing and harvesting trees, energy resource development, and transforming basic resources and raw materials into a variety of products that are sold in key markets worldwide. Our vast tree plantations across business groups also contribute towards carbon reduction in the environment. Each of RGE’s business groups operates independently with its own holding company, governed by a board of directors, and management overseeing operations and strategy.
